Pros

Management is responsive. Good communication up and down the chain of command. Family is very involved. You literally always see the son and father running around, working hard, and clearly involved. They are hands on and clearly committed to the success of their company and happiness of their employees.

Cons

Health insurance options are not very good. Hopefully that changes soon and there are more offerings. There is some more turnover in the blue collar portion of the company versus the white collar. I mean, it is clearly hard work and the welders work in the heat and lift heavy pieces of iron all day, so I get it. I don't think this unlike other companies, but I do believe this type of labor and work environment can take a toll on workers.

Pros

I liked that it was family and veteran owned, and a small enough company to make a difference, but big enough to be stable. There are four showrooms and an outdoor showroom in Arizona, and almost 200 employees. The company sends out recognition emails every time someone positively reviewed us online. There are career opportunities within the company, especially for office positions, to talk to the boss and ask for a spot in another department, or maybe to shift roles into something new.

Cons

There are only two health insurance options, and both have a really high Out of Pocket maximum ($6,350). I know that's had to increase because of the Affordable Care Act, but it would be nice if they offered some different plans that maybe had higher monthly premiums and lower OOP costs for people who know their families will need to use insurance often. I had to buy health insurance from the Marketplace, which costs me hundreds of dollars after taxes, because I knew our family would hit the OOP every year. I would much rather have that come out of my check pre-tax.
