Pros
If you're REALLY lucky you'll meet coworkers that turn into friends. A few stylist will teach you thier tricks on cutting, blending, and chemical services. You learn a lot of "what not to do's" in becoming a owner and district manager.
Cons
Extremely low pay! DM/owner expects you to go above and beyond to meet unrealistic expectations. They consider commission a "bonus" from the company. They promise FT hours to only give you PT hours. Benefits are horrible. The owner treats management with extreme disrespect which then ripples down to the employees then it effects the quality of work customers receive. Borderline psychological abuse from district management and owner. Dress code is absolutely ridiculous. There is no room for self expression as a stylist. Very pushy to sell products and upsale services. Which results in a uncomfortable customer. Education program is none existent. You can't post your work on social media. READ THE FINE PRINT WHEN SIGNING ANYTHING.
