Pros
Outside of leadership and management, people are very supportive, helpful, and understanding.
Cons
Despite what the company wants to portray publicly, the culture here is very hierarchical. The leadership wants employees to “do things as soon as I ask them to” - a direct quote. And maybe for that reason, there is a layer of middle management that just does what the leadership wants without asking any questions or speaking up. "ASAP" is management and leadership's favorite word and that’s a huge problem. Maybe if they have a better long-term strategy, then everything doesn’t have to be a fire drill. But, the culture here is creating quick fixes rather than thinking about the long-term solutions. And being “fast-paced” isn’t an excuse to be so reactionary. Employees don’t have the tools they need to do their jobs. My work laptop is slow and outdated. It’s older than the first laptop I received as an intern SIX years ago at another company! Very poor communication from Senior Management - Disorganized and directions from management often change.
