Pros

FeatureX is a great place to work. The work is exciting, challenging, and cutting edge. Everyone is very friendly and collaborative. One of the nice things about FeatureX is the weekly machine learning seminar series, where the latest machine learning papers are presented and discussed; it helps stay up to date with the latest developments in the field. The startup is well funded, and located in Kendall square, a major technological hub in the Boston area.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

I loved my 3 month internship at FeatureX! From day 1, when I met the team and learned what I'd be working on, to my last day, it was one of the best summers of my life. The small 3-person dev team was very tight-knit, and I learned a lot while also contributing to the product. One of my favorite parts of the internship was how hands-on it was and how I was treated just like a new hire! Beyond just the dev team, I really liked the work environment. The whole FeatureX team is very supportive and enthusiastic! From foosball games to machine learning seminars, I loved getting to know the team as well as learning from all of them.

Cons

No cons for my internship :)

Pros

I've never before had a job where I voluntarily go into work on weekends... but I do that at FeatureX. It's not like anybody asks me to go in on a Saturday either, but I truly just enjoy being at my office. It's a beautiful space that really allows me to focus and get things done. It's an incredibly comfortable environment, so when I have some stuff I'd like to get ahead on, I truck up to the fifteenth floor and indulge in views of the Charles River while I send emails. And during the week, it's even better. I love being around my coworkers - they're incredibly smart, stimulating, and easy-going people to be around. We enjoy having lunch together, going on company trips, and have even been known to share a beer or two overseas at various AI conferences. Again, have never had a job like it. It's a great place to work.

Cons

There aren't cons. There are challenges with being in early stages, e.g. it's still a small company, no product yet. But those don't come across as cons here. They genuinely feel like opportunity to develop new technology, build a strong research team, and get hands-on experience of how to build a business.
