Pros
Incorporate advance engineering practices, which is benificial for skill development of employees and junior engineers. Plenty of perks interm of free accommodation, free schooling for your kids, state of the arts sport facilities, meal at subsidize rate, weekend cinema and health facilities. Apart from interns CAD (Air fare tickets) are also provided to employees and their dependants. Nearly every week parties/events/concerts are arranged to keep families of employees engage in some sort of activity to avoid boredom. Health and Safety is stitched in thier job environment and is reason of achieving "Guinness World Records" against safe work practise.
Cons
Engaging with same people/bosses/collegues throughout 24 hours due to on site residence is irritating, and create demotivation for employees who belongs to metropoliton cities of Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. No work life balance speacially for first 05 years (Late sitting is analogous to effecient working in Fatima Fertilizer Culture) Not allowed to leave Fatima residence without permission of HOD, even on weekends you can only visit nearby villages/districts after informing section head. You are always on call 24/7. Upper/middle management mostly promote employees with obsequious nature which is quite demotivating. Conservative mind set towards helping/training new engineers, though they posses advance infrastructure but trainees are not traineed properly on site and dealt with careless attitude in majority of departments (except for tenure in Learning & Development center which is quite opposite to on-site experience)
