Company will buyout your agency for a set price based on your client base or your transfer your agency to a family member. Large group of insurance companies with the ability work in other areas of Farmers (such as claims) if Agency Owner is not a good fit. Gaining & retaining clients can be a challenge as a captive agent, especially in areas where Farmers rates are higher than industry averages. You must a self-starter, financially motivated, a solid business person and a good marketer in order to reach the 6 figure income level. Requires financial resources to get licensed as well as open your own office. Background, financial and credit requirements can be a challenge.
