Pros

Working for FamilyWell Health has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. The leadership team is empathetic, inclusive, and genuinely inspiring. Unlike many organizations in the health and wellness space that promote great missions but struggle with internal culture, FamilyWell Health truly practices what it preaches. The sense of community, respect and collaboration is felt in every interaction - and it’s clear that psychological safety and wellbeing are top priorities. I’ve been continually impressed by how valued, supported and included I feel, even as a part-time 1099 employee. The transparency, communication, and compassion across teams make this an incredibly special place to grow both professionally and personally. As a mom of two, being able to create my own schedule has been life-changing. The flexibility and trust I’ve been given have allowed me to find a much greater degree of work-life balance while doing deeply meaningful, mission-driven work that aligns with my values.

Cons

As with any growing company, finding your footing can take time, but there’s a strong culture of support and collaboration that makes the process easier. You’re never figuring things out alone - peers and leaders alike are always willing to help.

Pros

You have the comfortably of working in your own home. Do not have to worry about commuting anywhere.

Cons

My experience working at this company has been very challenging. Leadership and management practices need significant improvement, particularly within the Revenue Cycle and billing areas. There is inconsistent communication between departments, which makes it difficult to maintain a steady workflow or ensure that everyone is aligned. Management often lacks professionalism and transparency. Concerns are not addressed constructively, and there have been instances where discussions about colleagues and clients occurred in settings that did not feel appropriate. Although leadership states they have Revenue Cycle Management experience, it is not consistently demonstrated in day-to-day operations or decision-making. There is also a noticeable disconnect between upper leadership and the realities of staff and client needs. Decisions sometimes appear driven more by financial priorities than by operational quality or employee support. Providers are frequently allowed to dictate processes that should fall under the billing or RCM team, which leads to confusion, errors, and inefficiencies—especially for anyone with true RCM experience. Overall, the environment would benefit greatly from stronger leadership, improved communication, updated processes, and a more supportive culture for employees and clients.
