Pros
Employees do their very best to be a team.
Cons
Upper management-especially in the Costco department-are unorganized, play favorites, not supportive of women or LGBTQ employees. They yell, swear and are generally hard to work for. Instead of concentrating on what matters - employees and the client - they are more concerned with charts and tables and forms and making big presentations to the owners. Their training programs are a joke. The product is marginal and they ask you to sell product that should not be sold. Benefits are bad and expensive. You only get one week to decide which benefit you want to accept and some things that are offered nobody can give you the info for them. They do not have an experienced HR department - there is nobody to talk to about your issues. You work over 50 hours a week minimum and more on holiday weeks. Pay rates are low, especially for merchandising positions and some management positions.
