Pros

Opportunities to work with the world's biggest and most important financial insitiutions and gain valuable experience in an extremely delivery focused environment

Cons

Unfortunately many of the issues that arise with an enormous company are present here. There are many people who are not competent but manage to get by outsourcing the mental labour of their jobs to the more comptent people around them. Politics often plays a part here, with managers protecting their favourites and people they have recommended, and refusing negative feedback. Other times, it's just easier for management to not deal with the more difficult team members. FIS continues to aquire companies, struggles to merge operations but expects different parts of the business to work closely together. You may need to have 5 different logins and passwords for all your internal accounts. There is a dysfunctional offshoring model where upper management pushes for more and more work to be done in India however the centre in India is not set up for success and the result is that the work which should be outsourced ends up falling on the onshore staff. Upper management refuses to listen to this feedback from the delivery teams. There have been numerous pay freezes in the past and when when there are not pay freezes, standard remuneration increases are small and below inflation.

Pros

Good people, decent middle management

Cons

Constant RIFs every three months, re-badging large group of people in spring 2026, management talks about things but it never seemed to trickle down. Stock down more than 50% since Feb. 2025.
