Pros
If you work at FiNCAD, you will work with some incredibly intelligent, highly capable people. The internal business culture, in my opinion, was very strong and supported some creditworthy examples of high attainment and out-performance. Overall the business was able to strike the right balance between fostering an open, inclusive, and connected workforce coupled to a work ethos that produced results with individuals taking personal responsibility. This is not easily achieved and credit must go to those who lead the business for maintaining this eco-system. In my time there, I genuinely did not run up against anyone who I did not want to work with which is pretty unprecedented in my career so far.
Cons
Product-market fit is weak at FiNCAD. Some would say it is non-existent. The technology can support world class solutions. However, these are typically delivered through bespoke, consultative implementations rather than repeatedly deploying a consistent, scalable suite of products. FiNCAD is a small company and has a flat corporate structure. They will support you to become the best you can be at your job for sure, but genuine advancement opportunities, for those that want them, are limited.
