Pros

There is room to grow and learn new skills if you prove capable beyond your role and responsibilities.

Cons

Management often has different tolerance levels for their juniors, giving some more leeway than others. Responsibilities between people who are the same level are not comparable, and salaries not equivalent to this. You are given the room to grow if you prove yourself, which is great, but then you take on more work and your salary still stays the same. My job role has developed drastically since I began and I've still not progressed, but have been given more and more to do with my role now expanding beyond any regular job spec for my position. The goFar scheme for progression has been discussed for months on end and still it's not been put into place, this means there's no actual chance for progression anytime soon. HR always ask what they can do better to support everyone and then implement nothing.

Thank you for your honest feedback and we take onboard your points in relation to manager skills, role descriptions and the career ladder (goFAR) scheme. We have now implemented manager effectiveness training in London and will be rolling out to other regions this year. The goFAR scheme is launched and the People Team are working on Learning & Development programs in local offices to support People's development. Investment in people is critical to the success of Farfetch so we will continue to listen to this valuable feedback and focus on developing people initiatives even further.
