-lack of transparency -poor communication internally and externally -flat management -long-term growth is non-existent -company culture feels a bit like trying to befriend the popular kids in highschool in order to feel accepted To build on this, Ezoic has all the makings to be something great but unfortunately they have totally missed the mark. The CEO believes if he skirts around the subject of Ezoic being a sinking ship and the fact that he is losing employees to competitors while sugar coating the reality of the dire situation his company is in that everyone will eventually believe him. He holds quarterly AMAs which are truly just opportunities for him to brainwash the employees to be “excited “ for what’s next, tell them to address more serious matters with their team leads, and weave the narrative that everything is okay while clearly avoiding the concerned voices of his employees. I honestly think the CEO is what made this company an absolute nightmare to work for. Aside from that, career progression is a joke. Employees are given made up titles that don’t translate over into the workforce and compensation is a complete joke. Employees who are client facing spend additional hours during their nights and weekends trying to lend their customer support (because that is one of the perks of working with Ezoic, the great customer support) all while being told they are over staffed and have one of the best and most competitive compensation plans in the industry. HR is one person who, too, is overworked and can’t possibly support all the employees and what they are dealing with. And with that, the company just had their 4th round of layoffs over the last 2 years shrinking their company by nearly 50-60%. Ezoic is all smoke and mirrors which isn’t hard to see when you raise an issue with higher management and they find someway to gaslight you into thinking things aren’t that bad. They are. Run far far away from Ezoic.
