It's a regulated medical device. It doesn't allow for the use of many modern/lean project management approaches. The company has built a product that is a lot bigger than what the initial funding allowed for. So, the stress of running out of cash builds up.

Company comprised of diverse, highly intelegent individuals working to solve complex problems in the eye care space. Company produces cool product which in the right hands has huge potental to improve eye care acess for millions across the globe. Co. has become cash flow positive in a challenging market sector. Respectful, supportive working environment.

Startup, so funding is always needed, and sometimes sacrifices must be made to keep co. going.
