Pros

The only pro would be the people you work alongside - not the people you work for.

Cons

When somebody writes that one of the cons is "Sometimes too kind to staff, they really want to do the best by people." then imo that really is a "con". After 15+ years, I completely disagree - the best role that my MD could find for me was a downgrade to booking hotel rooms, ordering sandwich lunches and buying toilet seats. I would go on holiday and come back to find that someone else was receiving my emails now, and I would get those drip-fed to me for the rest of the time I worked there. They would have probably had me cleaning the toilets next. Imo The best opportunities are for the sons/step-sons/brothers/friends of the family of the management team. If you are one of those, then opportunities are created just for you, and on at least one occasion an opportunity was not even advertised so that no existing employee could apply for that role. But they are really high-calibre people because they are always successful in getting the job they are being interviewed - but I suspect some of those are pre-determined! One tip that I though of overnight: Don't get sucked into "helping out" in an unofficial capacity - you can spend days/weeks "helping out" another area, training/in-house system for example. Make sure it is more "official" than that otherwise you will receive meaningless throw-away comments about being more involved that never come to fruition, you won't be thanked or even recognised for the work you have done, and when that team convenes you won't be involved - nobody will give you a second thought or stand up for you - you are there just to do the donkey-work. I was once asked in 2017 by one of the directors what I think I would enjoy doing - I opened my mouth to respond, the telephone rang, the conversation ended and I was never asked again. I think I need to go away and leave a much more detailed account of my experiences with Evo-Soft (lots lots more) than this fairy tale and not just on glassdoor. Potential new employees need to know the truth about working for these people. These reviews imo are not realistic.
