Pros
The people are great, the culture is great, the work is challenging and exciting. Every day I have a new problem to solve and a bunch of smart, engaged, funny people to work with. A lot is asked of the staff, the processes are not always perfect, and yes sometimes things are frustrating - but the upside is an opportunity to be part of something completely new. You won't be rolling out cookie cutter code or making mindless tweaks to sell more widgets, you will have genuine input into the development of systems and services that are changing the way voting works.
Cons
It's a young company, there are never enough resources to do things quite as well as you'd like, and the pressure is always on. Sometimes the hours are crazy. There are opportunities for professional development, but no guaranteed support for training or upskilling.
