If only nepotism wasn’t an issue, it would be great to work for Eurest - Head Chef/Manager Eurest Employee Review

Pros

Schedule is ideal with weekends & holidays off.

Cons

Poor upper management, I would like to say it ends there but it doesn’t- goes up all the way to the district/HR level. Seems like ideas are thrown around from the corporate level & they just see what sticks….no structure. Some room for growth, but only based on favoritism & nepotism. They hire people who know someone & hope for the best! Terrible business practice for a company that claims in their motto: “A GREAT GUEST EXPERIENCE STARTS WITH ME”. They have great client portfolios- which are being affected due to mostly the incompetent regional managers & marketing departments. High turnover is becoming a norm with no sense of urgency to fill crucial positions. Training is non existent, even on boarding was terrible.

Pros

Comprehensive benefits package. Work-life balance is improved. Above-average market salary offering

Cons

Poorly drafted union labor agreement. Outdated and poorly vetted recipes taken from the company recipe database called Webtrition. Top-level management for the account sits outside of California and and far away from the client.
