Pros

I loved working at Epic Web Studios when I lived in Erie. The atmosphere was very growth-oriented for both the clients of epic and also the employees themselves. The culture of the agency is very focused on strong outcomes for everyone, team-first, and also maintaining a good work-life balance (they are very flexible on time off, etc). Each department has their own set of responsibilities but it's a tight-knit team so the departments work really well together. The leadership was also not into micromanaging every detail - instead they provide a lot of guidance up front and then it's up to the team to interpret this and get good results for our clients - something that happens month after month.

Cons

There's a frenetic pace here and a lot of clients so if you're not an organized person who can self-start it's probably going to be hard for you to find success

Pros

The CEO hired me knowing that I did not have a lot of experience and the team continues to train and mentor me regularly.

Cons

More WFH days would be nice.

Pros

Great experience for getting a better job. You can own your work here.

Cons

This is, by far, the most mentally draining company I've ever worked for. The compensation is extremely low, employees are regularly pitted against each other by management, and the owner consistently instructed employees to lie to clients about anything and everything. A book could be written about how horrible this place is. Employees are forced to work in a disgusting apartment building that reeks of cigarettes from the owners chain smoking in the building. Yes, he chain smokes in the office and will force you to sit in his office while he does it. There is zero work/life balance. Employees work long hours with zero ability to work from home barring extreme circumstances. Employees are also expected to be available at all times, including weekends. The owner will randomly call you outside of work for anything and everything. Employees are given off 10 total days per year. That includes bereavement, sick days, and vacation days. 10 total days. There is no employee review process and salary adjustments are not made unless you tell the owner you're going to quit. He also refuses to pay interns. Yes, unpaid internships still exist. Whether it's legal or not. The owner also made absolutely disgusting comments about the physical appearance of interns and employees in my time there.
