Pros
You will be "Wisconsin Rich" (whatever that means).
Cons
The company culture is absurd. It's all about "geek chic", but it is not genuine. Your TL doesn't care about your workload or support, only about getting you certified as it leads to a bonus for them. TLs also have no support in management training, they have no people skills, and are some of the worst managers I have ever encountered. You're paid a decent amount for straight out of college. This amount, however, only makes you "Wisconsin Rich." Literally during the interview when I was offered the job, HR told me that the amount was lower than the company's counterparts because Epic is located in rural Wisconsin. This makes no sense though as Verona and Madison cost of living is rising because of Epic money being infused in their economies. The turnover rate is ridiculous, but they pretend it isn't as high as you see for yourself. Also, when you leave Wisconsin to go on a vacation: money is money. The hours and travel you have to put in, and are demanded you put in, leave no time for family or a social life. When traveling everyone works at hospital all day, then has a quick dinner and returns to the hotel to work until 1am, rinse and repeat until you leave straight from hospital to the airport. Only to get home after 11pm, and return to work for a 8am team meeting the next morning. Burnout is real, and it happens so quick. There has yet to be a team on go-live that has been with the customer since the beginning; it doesn't happen, EVER. I saw my male counterpart break down crying because he was so stressed, exhausted, and had no support; he'd been at the company for almost 3 years and admitted it doesn't get better. I resigned shortly after this instance. It's not worth it. Run, do not walk, away from this company. I promise you will regret accepting this job.
