Pros

If you are a good fit, then you will be incredibly happy and successful at Epic. Their training, internal opportunities, and amenities are world-class. They have a geek-friendly (even geek-centric) culture.

Cons

If you aren't a good fit (and many are not) then you will be out in the cold with a stale resume, worthless nice skills, and a 1-year non-compete that will mean you have to start over at square one.

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
