Pros
Work environment is flexible. The work is challenging most days. The benefits are great, and the pay classifies as a living wage.
Cons
The pay isn't as competitive as private industry. There's always some new guy in the administration looking to change things to make them better but it's usually the same thing wrapped up in new paper.
