Pros

Co-workers were nice and personable.

Cons

No explanation of consequences for violating policies Can't trust the supervisors/managers - pretend to be nice to your face, but then when there's an issue, go straight to the director rather than speaking to you. Horrible work culture. Put a target on anyone's back from the beginning and look to get rid of people they don't think will conform no matter how good they are at their job. The PRESIDENT of the company WALKED OUT of a meeting with employees that she HERSELF had set up to hear feedback from the first 30 days. Dress code is WAY too strict - NO face to face meetings with clients, but couldn't 'Dress for the Day' like at the home office, and could ONLY wear t-shirts on Fridays that had to do with the company. Had to PAY TO WEAR JEANS on Wed & Thurs - supposedly the money goes to charity or to put on events for employees. It's Revenue Cycle for Mercy Health, yet 80% of the employees are unhealthy and eat unhealthy. Snack options in the marketplace thing are extremely unhealthy. Employees are extremely overworked because the company is ALL ABOUT MAKING MONEY and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT EMPLOYEES' HOME LIVES. Most of the time, supervisors/managers are unable to come up with direct answers or have contradicting answers.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize you didn’t have a pleasant experience during your time with our company. I would like to address some of your concerns to hopefully provide clarification. • At Ensemble, we have a culture of transparency, and one where we encourage all of our associates to speak up. That’s why I make it a priority to visit each and every new associate orientation class to introduce myself and talk about our culture and the many different pathways that associates are encouraged to communicate with me. Whether it’s through e-mail, my open door philosophy and the distribution of my personal cell phone number – there are many ways to reach me, at any time, if there’s something on your mind. I also attend every 30-day round back discussion where I ask for an open, honest discussion to get feedback from our new associates about what’s working well and the opportunities we have for improvement. There are times that I am unable to stay the entire meeting due to conflicting schedules; however, other senior leaders are present for the entire meeting and I receive updates on what I missed at a later time. My exit from the meeting was not due to any feedback received, and was not meant to be disrespectful in any manner, and I apologize if it was perceived that way. • At Ensemble, we offer elective jean days to support charities in the communities where we live and work and the spirit of servant leadership. I am so proud of the fact that in 2017, our team in Ohio provided more than $60,000 in donations of supplies and funding to our local charities, thanks to the generosity of our associates. • We offer a variety of programs and initiatives that support a healthy lifestyle for the associates at Ensemble. At the Market C in our cafeteria, we there are a variety of snacks available, including vegetables, fruit and high protein options. We strongly encourage participation in our Be Well Within program, which provides countless activities and challenges to support a healthy lifestyle. There is also a financial incentive for completing the program’s requirements. We are able to offer discounts to local fitness centers through this program as well. At Ensemble, we do have a culture of high expectations. It’s not for everyone. But if you’re looking to join a team of A Players, where you can grow and advance your career, try new things and learn something new every day – this is the place for you! Shannon White, President and COO, Ensemble Health Partners

Pros

Flexible work schedule. Work remotely 100% of the time.

Cons

DAILY pressure and extreme stress. You will be in constant fight, flight or fear mode. There's a heavy emphasis on productivity, and KPI's without resources, tools or clear direction to accomplish either. They want to be a innovative and forward thinking/moving organization but they're missing the mark. Whatever the client wants, the client gets regardless of the impact it will have on the team and department. We work at the behest of the client, not the other way around. Ensemble started out with good intentions I believe, but somewhere along the way and the pursuit of 'revenue' they've lost their way, with no signs of ever getting 'it' (whatever 'it' is) back. Don't do it! It's not worth your sanity.
