Pros
My team was awesome. I truly loved my coworkers. They made the entire difference, if it wasn't for them, I would never have stayed as long as I did.
Cons
Nepotism within management. It doesn't matter how good you are at your job, if you aren't a favorite here, you won't get promoted. Even if you do get a promotion, expect them to put it on the back burner for several months, if not years before anything is even done with it. Management is so busy here that you won't have an actual supervisor to reach out to for help. The upper management runs the lower level supervisors ragged. Additionally, this company didn't take Covid seriously at all. My manager said they had it and it" was no worse than a cold, so why should everything still be shut down?" When masks were implemented, it was laughed at by leadership, and in an alternative office I reported to for a week of work, I was told not to wear a mask at all. Work from home is a joke, we were required to use our own computers and upgrade our internet if it wasn't up to their standards, all at our own expense. Not only were we required to use our own equipment, but we were not allowed to use anything from the office. This put the company at a huge risk for security hacks and other cyber security issues. We were salaried employees, but were required to work several hours of overtime every week, all unpaid or uncompensated. When asking to take time off, you better hope your performance is spot on, because if it isn't, you're going to get reprimanded, even if the time off is an emergency. Annual raises also aren't a thing here. When I asked about it I was told, "be thankful you even have a job right now." Even when the company boasts about its record breaking sales numbers every week during their Tuesday meetings. The president of the company is full of himself and is never wrong. I once saw him berate a new employee for simply asking a question about how we were keeping in line with a competitor.
