Pros
My paycheck didn't bounce. Other than that, nothing.
Cons
This was the worst job experience I have ever had. During my 11 months there we had a greater than 100% turnover. The CEO and COO are completely incompetent and unethical. In addition to lying to clients about the level of staff being used (lower level than contract, while charging at the higher level) they would put former employees and applicants into proposal bids without letting those people know or having any intention of actually giving them the work. The CEO would deliberately foment conflict between staff members, instruct people to lie on their timesheets and scream at anyone who had the audacity to yawn in her presence. The company does not follow any of the federal guidelines on their contracts. One time we lost ALL of our files as there was no network backup. Yes, you read that right. Our network drive got corrupted and they had NO BACKUP! There were times where I was asked to work on a proposal, using the same background section from a previous proposal. I would attempt to correct the grammar and spelling problems, but then when I turned it in, I would be yelled at for making any changes and told how the writing was atrocious. Um, that was the same writing the CEO had used before, I just corrected the mistakes. On top of all that, after I left and found a new job, it took the company 18 months after multiple notifications to cancel my health insurance. I was long past eligible for COBRA, working in a new job for more than a year, and they kept paying the premiums because they couldn't be bothered to remove my name from their list. It wreaked havoc with my new insurance and took months to straighten out all the bills.
