Pros
Here's a list of Pros working for this company during my tenure:
- Family environment: meaning the owner will seek the needs of his employees and attempt to provide them with what they would need.
- The salary is pretty good for the position and market
Cons
Here's a list of Cons working for this company during my tenure:
- Training: It's at a minimum it's probably the weakest part of the company which lead to me not really advancing with the company. Many of my one on ones were based off of my performance than what areas I could improve. There was no system in place to assist in growing.
- Opportunities for moving up: Granted this is a small company, but during my tenure there were 2 roles that I was hoping to get an interview for, but the company decided to hire outside without giving me an opportunity to apply.
- Poor communication between management, during one of my conversations with my former manager. He was under the impression that I was comfortable in my role and clearly wasn't the case. I wanted to get in a role of field work that would utilize my strengths which is moving around and not being tied to a phone.
