Pros

Remote/Hybrid work flexibility. Work life balance is not too bad due to lack of projects.

Cons

There are no young designers, and the higher-ups are older with outdated design tastes. They seem comfortable sticking to their old ways, which no longer work. HR is practically nonexistent—people are leaving or being laid off, yet the HR representative always acts as if nothing is happening. It feels very unsettling to work here. While I enjoy the remote work experience, I can understand why young designers wouldn't want to join this company.

Pros

-Some very interesting work/projects -Decent salaries (when they pay) -Some very thoughtful/caring people in the team who do genuinely try to help younger designers grow -Interesting opportunities for travel -Unique approach to design -Intellectually challenging

Cons

-Emotionally abusive leadership -No functional HR (HR related to CEO) -No functional management structure (where people in senior roles push for change, it is overridden at the whim of the CEO) -Dodgy finances (pay-checks are often late--sometimes very late) -Promotions based more upon kissing rings than actual work -Lack of originality in approach to work (a lot of work is recycled) -Hostile environment for women -Disrespectful/unprofessional behaviour is pretty common-place -Poor use of technology (lots of random/shifting apps/programs while the main technology platforms are very out-of-date) -Employees are used as credit lines (expenses sometimes paid up to six months late)
