Pros
- Great people who deeply care about the company - Flexibility on projects, ability to take ownership over features or projects - Rewarding mission. You get to see the impact of helping teachers, students, and parents in the education space - Lots of opportunities to take leadership and grow through your own initiative - Fun place to work overall
Cons
- Top-level management is unsure of where to take the company. With the acquisition came a lack of clarity and communication on company direction from senior team - Management feels out of touch with actual company needs and direction. It can be difficult to get them to invest in much-needed improvements to the product - Senior management sometimes adds red tape or slows down projects unnecessarily - With the acquisition, pay stagnated, raises / bonuses were put off and stock options remained up in the air. Communication about this to the employees was not transparent
