Pros
Choice in work shift. Job stability. Met some good people. One of the C level guys is a genuinely awesome and caring person. He helped me wit something when I'm fairly certain it was normally a taboo in such a strictly run corp. The low paying, low-skilled jobs give office experience to those who might not normally qualify.
Cons
Oh wow. I was unfortunate enough to lose my cushy 100k+ job because my mortgage office shut down. I applied here because it was semi mortgage-related. If your idea of a job is making barely over minimum wage is being treated like baby cattle and developing carpel tunnel, Document Indexor is for you. This position is the step-child of the company. Other employees whisper when an indexer walks by. The staff is generally of average IQ, which is all that is needed for the position anyway. Realizing my talent in the interview, they dangled moving into a respectable position in front of me. I took the bait, and you guessed it.....the offer never came. Asked for $1 raise, since I was already a top producer after 2 months, and was laughed away. Them saying no was actually the best thing that ever happened. I shudder to think about an alternate life where I stayed for that $1. Wages at all positions are below market. Now that I am back in my native trade, I can't believe what some people will accept as an income. I would be surprised if anyone other than the top 3 execs make more than I do as mid-level management.
