Pros

-Good PTO options (if you can find the time to take it, they work you to the bone and make you feel guilty for needing personal time) -Snacks -catered lunches (later learned this was just to keep you working at your desk while you eat instead of taking a lunch) -ATX had a pretty hard-working, wonderful team of support people when I was there, but since has gone to mostly temps -like-minded young people on the team

Cons

-Unhealthy work environment -Management lures you in by promising good time off, perks, ability to contribute to the growing company. The once you're in there, they work you like slaves and don't take any criticism/feedback. -Lying and dis-trust from management -massive firings without warning or communication about why -They put "yes people" in management positions because anyone that speaks their mind gets fired or ignored. Any issues big and small are not taken seriously. -Mental health is not taken seriously, they expect people to work through the pain because "that's just how start-ups are" -no training, everyone is expected to teach themselves the job quickly with no leadership or guidance. -then when people are fired, you are expected to pick up their work, again with no training or warning, You just have to do it and hope you do a good job. And if you don't there are no guidelines in place on how to handle the issue. -Oh, and there is never any pay raises when you take on new duties. You're just expected to do it and not complain. Even though you are already SLAMMED by your other job responsibilities. -No organization of the product/ people's jobs and responsibilities. Everyone is just guessing and hoping it all works out, and it often doesn't -Management personally wrote reviews on Yelp and Glassdoor because they are having a hard time finding happy employees and clients. -rude and abrasive San Fransisco staff that had no respect for the Austin team. Treated them terribly when we finally got to all meet. And on a daily basis, expected the ATX team to work at all hours of the day and to be available. Pawned all of their tasks on ATX

I'm really sorry that you had such a bad experience at Eden. Our Austin team is central to Eden's success and just as important as any other office. All of our Austin team are all full-time employees and we've grown to be 23 strong and counting. We have new managers in place and a lot of positive changes within the past year. If anyone reading this ever feels disrespected or feeling this terrible about working at Eden, please reach out to People Operations, myself or Joe our CEO. We will always take your feedback seriously. For the person who wrote this, thank you for taking the time to do so. And we truly wish you the best.

Pros

- Friendly, ambitious, and driven coworkers - Benefits (unlimited PTO, snacks, budget for team bonding, dental/vision/medical) - A place where you can make an impact if you're liked by the right people

Cons

- Overwork/ no work life balance - Below market pay - No real career progression - No career mentorship - Round after round of layoffs - Pivots business model every 3-4 years Some horror stories: 1) CEO pushed out hired COO who was trying to create more structure as opposed to the existing fratty culture 2) Frequently allowing operations team to be verbally abused by clients 3) One particular manager who did not allow an employee to go to her mom's wedding and another employee to go get a checkup following a car accident 4) Underpays H1B employees, when they're already underpaid (some not breaking 6 figures for tech roles) 5) Promised job security only to fire more than half the company a week later
