Pros

For recent grads this is a good place to start your career in communications or market research. Work with top name brands/project. Interns get paid over time but good luck trying to get those hours. Free amenities of working at a big company. A lot of down-time if you're into that. Really have to go out of your way to network/find work 3 month internship but if you show interest you could stay the full 6 months.

Cons

Barely get any meaningful work as an intern so you may expect a lot of down time. Revolving door for interns, Edelman only hires a hand pick few. No diversity and its quite sad as they say they are "diverse"

Thanks for your review. Our interns often become our future leaders, competitors or clients and that’s why our internship program is designed to give real work experiences that are both positive and challenging. This helps us all determine if our firm, the industry and the market is the right match all around. While we can’t hire every intern into a full-time position, we successfully hired 38% of our interns last year. We strive to ensure that an Edelman internship is beneficial, fulfilling and appropriately challenging for every individual across all offices and you have my commitment, and that of our U.S. and D.C. leadership teams, to make sure this is a reality for all. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't share some stats about our diverse representation. Over 25% of our employees in the U.S. are racially and ethnically diverse, while 38% of our new hires since January 2018 were also diverse. I’m energized by our progress to date and we aren’t slowing down. We are committed to increasing this representation in the next few years and I'm hopeful we'll make you proud. Pros

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
