Pros
You MIGHT have flexible work hours and work from home options, but not everyone is given that luxury. Snacks in the kitchen. Really fun company events like happy hours, crab feast, Christmas party, etc. Pretty good pay, if you’re lucky (more in cons). Fun coworkers. People care about their work product and making the company successful.
Cons
Extreme favoritism at this company. CEO and COO hand pick who they want to include in the inner fold and if you’re not one of those people, tough luck on meaningful upwards mobility. Maybe this is a pain of a small company, but creates a lot of toxicity among the employees. Very different levels of pay for same job/experience level. I was lucky to be one of the higher paid ones despite less years experience, but some of my coworkers were unfairly compensated and have no idea. Not a huge company, so if you’re unhappy with the contract you are on it’s kind of too bad. If you’re lucky there *might* be an opening on another contract, but there aren’t enough for that to be an option for anyone. Along with this, when a need arises on a contract, you have very little input into whether you fill that need. You are volun-told to fill the role.
