Pros
In 2004, I became disabled with a debilitating chronic illness. I left my full time corporate job and have since worked primarily part time work from home jobs. The pay is much less than I was making in the corporate world, but it is clearly defined from the start. The work is interesting and seasonal. I would not rely on this job for consistent income. I have worked at ETS for 8 years. Most projects were seasonal and that was fine for my needs. Recently, I wanted to obtain more consistent part time income and certified for a project that promised more year round work. Unfortunately, the project has more than enough raters and I have found it difficult nigh impossible to get hours. (Hours are submitted one month in advance, you are then confirmed based on your availability). The company has always been great about letting me know which projects to apply for via email. However, you still have to certify for the project. Payments are direct deposit every two weeks and I have never had an issue with my pay.
