ERM has a wide range of clients that will give you lots of experiences in different sectors. Lots of opportunities to travel. Caring CEO. Older employees who stay more than a quick stint are a wealth of knowledge and so helpful. Easy to move around. Lots of respected experts in the field.
Cons
If the business isn’t doing well the lower you are on the totem pole the more blame and punishment you feel as senior leadership scramble. New North American CEO in large meetings has made negative and demeaning comments about younger staff members. The hiring practices are not uniform. I was told at hire vacation time was non-negotiable, (it is 2 weeks and barely any holidays) I worked with many people who came in maxed out or at 3 weeks. You live or die by UB. Diversity are young and developing, unusual for a firm of this age.
