Pros

Beautiful branding and quick response to potential employees. The receptionist is very nice.

Cons

This company uses cat fishing techniques to get new employees. They claimed they were hiring for work in Davis (20-30 minutes from me) and it turned out that they were hiring an hour and a half away from me in Vallejo, Suisin city and Fairfield. This was not stated in the job qualifications or in the phone call I had with the receptionist prior to the interview. Needless to say $26 of gas later I arrived to find they are actually hiring people to work at Costco to sell DIRECTV. This is not the job advertised. That is not marketing that is direct sales.

ERA Advertising Response

We apologize that you didn't have a great experience with us. The ad you applied to actually explains in depth what we do; This position involves responsibilities in: Entry - Level Management Human Resources Customer Service Face to Face Presentations You also self-booked for an interview with us. In that self booking confirmation email we have links for our website, online reviews, instagram, and facebook, and our home base address. All of those facets are ways we show very openly what it is that we do. Our administrator actually reached out to you to make sure didn't have any questions the day before the interview and the only question you asked was if our home base was in Suisun. You then proceeded to call our administrator and angrily demand compensation for gas for an interview you didn't stay for. Self-booking is meant to make life easier for an applicant but unfortunately it takes out a lot of the interaction an applicant normally does online or with the HR team in researching the position since its so easy to just click and schedule. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused on our part though and really do wish you the best of luck!

Pros

ERA is an up and coming company with ambitious goals and the skills to back their vision. The CEO is very competent, confident and straightforward. Every interview was professionally conducted. Responses were simple and thorough. Accessibility was a plus! The Corporate Trainers and Leaders are more than willing to highlight positives and share best practices: the environment is set up for everyone — with or without sales-marketing experience — to succeed! I find myself most attracted to the self-paced opportunity to cross train and grow with this company into a well-earned position of Leadership-Ownership.

Cons

I drive 3 hours to work, round trip, because I am living in the Yuba-Sutter area and the main office is based in Suisun. Outside the office we work 5-8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week in Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville. I fill the reimbursed travel time with audiobooks and inspiring lectures.

Pros

I started about a year ago with the company during a break from school to get some entry-level training at sales. Since then, I've made it all the way through the management training program and I've since expanded to run my own market. I have never worked in environment where everyone shows comradery and genuinely loves to help each other. I came in with expectations of making this a short term job, now I realize that this is my calling and I can actually help other people maximize their potential. It's amazing. We go through life and make plans but sometimes there is a higher purpose that calls us. This has been the most rewarding position I've ever been in, as well as one of the most difficult because I continuously must to do a lot of self development. This is no Ponzi scheme. I am not a paid actor. If you want to join a team that will change your life for the better, this is the place for you.

Cons

Comfort zones are soft and cozy, but nothing grows there. You will learn about mental programming and have to face the fact that maybe you are not as positive a person as you thought you were. You will have to admit your faults in order to grow. You will have to develop yourself far beyond the outer layer. You will be pushed to achieve self-fullfillment and confidence. Fear inhibits the masses from reaching their goals, you will have to embrace change and demolish self doubt.
