Pros
The people here are for the most part, the salt of the earth. No matter who you are and how much your pay difference is people treat you like family. Many of the folks have been there a long time and really know their jobs. The best thing about the place is that the entire senior management team, save the CFO, all live on the East Coast and only visit once a month or every other month. Leadership does not exist so if you like to work unsupervised this is the place for you.
Cons
This company is holding on by a fine piece of silk, and that is because they do not like to embrace change. "We have been doing it this way for years and we are not changing". There are so many obvious flaws in the running of this company that it makes you want to cry. You can suggest whatever you want and for the most part you will get lip service. You will get upper management support one day and then they back down the next day. They are juggling too many balls that "may provide fruit" but the ignore the basics of their business which is where there is so much instant return. If you are thinking of being hired into management, I WOULD ASK TO SEE THE FINANCIALS FROM THE LAST FEW YEARS. It will certainly impact your decision.
