Pros

You get paid every week

Cons

I worked there for less than 3 months. For the interview process (which is 3 parts) during these 3 interviews no one explain that you will be in Costco selling DirectTv. During training you could be tossed around from different people(which can get confusing)Another thing is they don’t do orentation till 2 weeks into the job, this where they explain the pay and how the commission works( which isn’t really helpful) . Once in Costco you are basically a salesperson. From my experience If you don’t make sales they take your hours. As if it’s a punishment. It’s not fair. They tell you that you will be working 40hrs. But i was only working close to 25. Sometimes less( like a said they cut my hours). I would work Monday then be off till Friday, maybe work a day in between. For those going into this job make sure you ask questions during the interviews, because they won’t tell you what you would be doing.

Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback! We try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to the interview process that is why we have an extensive 4 step interview system before hiring someone so that each individual has ample time to ask any questions clarifying any confusion. During this time frame we go over the position applied for, compensation, hours and availability, as well as growth, what is expected of each employee and what the person, as an employee, is looking for out of their time with the company. Each person chosen to join our team is chosen with great intent for a long-term career. During training you do work with multiple managers so that in case your learning style doesn't match up with one person you still have other management styles to look to. Again, we do appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback because we are always looking to grow and improve as a company. Your concerns raised have been brought up with our HR department and if you have any other concerns definitely feel free to reach out to us!

Pros

The pay is decent, it’s every Friday. the people you work with are extremely friendly and willing to help you understand what you are doing for this job. Extra time taken to be with coworkers and train to be better educated on the field

Cons

Pay roll doesn’t kick in until 2 weeks from your first day and even on your first paycheck it could be under $50 easily because even tho it’s paid training you’re being paid to train for an hour every day for 3 days sometimes less sometimes more depending on them. Very vague during interviews. They never answer directly and will avoid any questions about what the company does and how pay works. And for new hires if you don’t have money for gas for the first 2 weeks. Good luck because you won’t get a real paycheck until 3 weeks for most people. You are also selling Direct TV in Costco’s. I’ve heard stories from people saying they never new it was a sales person job because during the interview it’s so vague. Be prepared to ware out your tires. And add up those miles. They do pay you 0.54 cents to the mile for driving to different Costco’s. Buuuut only if you’re leaving to the store from the office. So it doesn’t add much too much. Also ask lots of questions on how to make better sales. It’s easy to make a sale just gotta but in the effort

We appreciate your detailed review of our company! We are sorry to hear of any negative experience you may have had with us, and sorry that you felt there was any vagueness during the interview process. We do have multiple locations that our sales representatives will travel too, and gas is always compensated. As for pay, we have recently updated our pay where we no longer are 2 weeks in arrears which means from beginning of employment you will be paid for the week prior and are, of course, paid on a weekly basis from there on. We are, however, very pleased to know that you find our team to be friendly and encouraging! We encourage you to give the office a call to discuss any questions or concerns you may still have. As always, we appreciate any feedback, good or bad, as it will always help us grow!
