Pros
In 2014 I applied for a summer internship at E-Value Appraisals, got in, and started working full time, 5 days a week, from June to August. I received complete one-to-one training in doing market research in Real Estate, and writing Appraisal reports. More than that, I was encouraged to make my own analysis, give my opinion, and even make suggestions to the senior appraiser. Within 3 months I learned a new profession – way more than I expected from an internship. After this period I was offered a full-time position, in which I had to work with new interns, help in all sorts of activities at the office, and work directly with the senior appraiser. My learning experience has been truly one of kind!
Cons
Fast-paced environment. In the beginning you feel overwhelmed with the amount of information you get, as an appraisal is a complex process. But after the training you actually learn all the steps and it gets natural.
