Pros
Easy documentation. As long as you do your job, management stays out of your hair. SLPs are in high demand in many areas and the pay rate is good. You can set your own caseload and schedule. No pressure to take on cases you don't want. Overall very positive work culture.
Cons
1099 so no benefits.
They pay for literally nothing but direct services. Nothing for driving, documentation, report writing, reimbursement for gas, supplies, parking, You are classified as 1099 even though you are required to write reports and IEPs in a very specific way.
Honestly, it seems barely legal, but because most other parts of the job are relatively pleasant they kind of get away with it.
