Pros
DuPont hires very talented individuals, and encouraged shared learnings. Most weeks, work/life balance is great. Large company, so many varied opportunities--hard to get bored.
Cons
Pay is averaged out across level--DuPont does not utilize a Pay for Performance policy for the common worker. Management regularly misjudges market, sets over-ambitious targets, and frequently misses objectives. Creates a very negative environment, with occasional reductions in force (but the leaders who set unreasonable objectives are not let go, and often rewarded). Company doesn't really know what it wants to be--vision unclear. The emphasis on core values has slipped since Ellen took over--safety incidents on a rise, respect for people a figment of what it once was.
