Worked autonomously with a really amazing client, from discovery through to installation. Really unique blend of spatial strategy and design and tech. Challenging pace, no projects the same. Co-workers were lovely.
Cons
Often had to work overtime. Very clear that head office only cares about profit and not its employees or their mental or physical health. Had to pay (frequent) travel expenses out of your own pocket with a long turnaround time for reimbursements. Little to no support from the head office. Months of the year spent working on proposals. Sales strategy is all about promising the world without any care as to the team that will have to do the work on a tiny budget because the markups are so huge. Underpay staff. Hollow words regarding environmental credentials.
