My department was very independent, no micromanaging.
The director was a great mentor over the years.
Flexible work policy (ie WFH was 1 day a week and ok as needed).

Communication from upper management could be improved or made more regular.
Some teams would benefit from more transparency,
I'm afraid there are no Pros to add. Just a negative energy.
Cons
They allow for no personal growth. Very unorganized from the top. Leads to issues in other departments.
Family owned in which means there can be a since of nepotism that happens from the top members.
