Pros

Fun if you have nice coworkers

Cons

Too many to list. Absolute trash management. Hypocrisy at every level. They have no clue how to handle their operations, management likes to act like big shots and bully employees

Pros

As someone that has worked plenty jobs, I thought working within the automotive industry would open a new streamline of career opportunities for me. Unfortunately, from my experience working here, I can not think of one pro out of my position.

Cons

Management is extremely unorganized. I learned the most from a colleague that had only started working there a couple months before me, because the "senior"(?) BDC Coordinator thought it would be a good idea to have me start during their vacation trip. I have noticed that -- because the manager(s) seem to be unable to figure out a system that allows each department to work cohesively -- start to point fingers, which had caused plenty unnecessary rifts between departments. Issues are as follows: The parts department is overworked due to miscommunication, the BDC department is also overworked; we are tasked to track and input data on every single thing, on top of managing inbound & outbound calls, and campaigns for vehicles. I have witnessed plenty hostile arguments between the lead BDC Coordinator and mechanics because of how disorganized the company is. Workers are blamed for issues that are out of their control and will be mistreated if they do not abide to the impossible processes that are inputted by management. The pay is not enough for the amount of work you need to do, especially within an economy where minimum wage is not even enough to live. Your work-to-life balance is nonexistent; you will be at the location for nine hours. You work the first four hours, take an hour break, then work tirelessly for the next four hours. There is an advisor and a couple people from the detailing department that are extremely homophobic, sexist, and misogynistic. Working at Dixie Toyota, as someone that identifies as a gay male, does NOT think this is an inclusive and safe environment to work in.
