Pros
Okay to gain experience out of college
Cons
The pay structure has been decreased during the industry down turn so much that it makes working 84 hours a week completely worthless. The companies motto is that yeah you might make 60k in your first year at dwl but you will sacrifice your entire life in order to do so. There have been times where I have worked 2, 3, even 4 weeks in a row with 0 days off and the very day I get off I get a call from management telling.... not asking... me to work on another rig. 3 years in the company will get you nothing but heartache. There is no ladder that you can climb only false hopes. Once you make it to geosteering you have maxed out your opportunity here. If you have loved ones you like seeing don't even consider this job.
