Customers are typically nice, very few “Karen’s”

Not only are you only paid minimum wage for a job that requires maximum effort, the management team is horrible and treats everyone badly. The owners have no idea what they are doing and constantly work against the betterment of the store and employees lives by doing things like ignoring the fire department, not having any space for employees to do work on, not giving mandatory breaks, allowing bullying and harassment, making messes in the store and making employees clean up after them. Not to mention the owners being in their kids and let them run around and make a mess to the point where employees become baby sitters.

The rest of the staff are nice to be around.

Was hired on as a retail worker. Very soon was drafted in as a mover and warehouse construction worker under the same wage I had started at and began working overly long hours getting called in for manual labor on days when the store was closed and the rest of the staff were not present. Found myself having to go hide in my car to deal with anxiety attacks from the stress regularly. Brought it up with the boss that I felt I deserved better pay for the work I was being given and was berated and told I was not as valuable of an employee and then expected to continue doing the moving/construction work. Owner is generally very short fused and disinterested in his line of work.
