Pros

Remote environment, smart team, cool clients

Cons

Directive's fear-based culture is toxic. If you ever think you're getting comfortable in your role here, think again. The CEO seems to think that leading through fear is the way to go, and he expects all the other leaders to follow suit. If you're not a yes-man, you might as well start packing your bags because you're on your way out. It's like a revolving door with employees coming and going, and there's hardly any room for growth. Middle management tries their best to shield the team from what's really happening, but once you take a peek behind that curtain, there's no turning back. The expectations they place on employees is flat-out unrealistic. Requiring us to hit 100% of our goals every single quarter is insane. How on earth are we supposed to bring in 15 new clients, meet these astronomical client-set goals with no budget, and still find time to actually get some work done? Don't get me started on how they expect us to be experts in platforms we've never even used, despite the sales team swearing it would be a walk in the park. I've never seen an organization that talks so poorly about its own team members. It's like a never-ending cycle of gossip and backstabbing, and it goes both up and down the ladder. You can bet that if you're hearing someone talk negatively about someone else, they're doing the same about you. It's like everyone's just out for themselves, ready to throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat just to move up the ladder.

Pros

Before accepting the COO role at Directive, I reviewed Glassdoor just like you might be doing now. I saw comments that gave me pause. I believe in being transparent- those concerns are valid, and they’re part of our history. Here’s why I joined anyway: the people here are exceptional. Directive has incredible talent, energy, and potential. At the same time, we know there are areas where we need to evolve, both culturally and operationally. That’s exactly why I came onboard: to help lead that change. We’ve already begun building a clear vision for where Directive is going. One that focuses on empowering employees, creating career pathways, and building a culture that makes people proud to be here. My commitment as COO is to ensure that this becomes not just a strong agency to work for, but the premier place to grow a career in digital marketing. If the reviews here make you uncertain about accepting a role, please feel free to reach out directly. I’m more than happy to connect, share what we’re working on, and give you a firsthand perspective on the progress we’re making.

Cons
