Pros

Great experience, however, that comes at the price of having absolutely no work-life balance. Brands are phenomenal and the company is a stable choice in this economy.

Cons

The leadership is extremely poor in competency and only understands how to maneuver through the politics of Diageo, rather than know how to lead a team to success. Additionally, we are so top heavy when it comes to leadership that it takes an excessive amount of time to arrive at even the simplest of decisions. This happens at most companies, however, Diageo is by far the worst I have seen. It's truly astonishing. Additionally, Diageo is extremely frugal with their investments to the point where it's detrimental to the longevity of the business with respect to mostly investment in people but also with infrastructure. Our computers are absolutely horrible, running off of Windows 2000 with PC's built for Vista is just a combination for complete failure. Supposedly they are upgrading our system to Vista - they must have received a very large discount since this was announced one day after Windows announced that they would be moving to Windows 7.

Pros

Pay & Benefits are wonderful

Cons

Unrealistic expectations towards employees Insurance benefits *Managers* are composed of front-line production leads and those who may oversee or supervise.* The work-life balance is severely lacking, and there are biased managers who add negative connotations to peers' actions without any solid evidence or knowledge. Furthermore, these managers often lack technical expertise regarding machinery and engage in excessive micromanagement of employees. The workplace lacks diversity as defined, and the hiring representatives are typically the same floor leads that micromanage peers creating unfair hiring process at Diageo. Many individuals who have encountered the corrupt practices lead reps in previous jobs are frequently denied opportunities.
