Pros
Fairly reliable work experience. Day In and day out does not vary much. This would be an excellent job for entry level employees to learn how not to do things professionally.
Cons
Never worked for a company with so little regard to the daily burden the company places on the employee. From non existent to horrible parking arrangements from slim to none parking options, to so crammed in you will sustain vehicle damage. To a draconian it department that has no thought to the amount of work that cannot be accomplished due to their policies and procedures. HR tries to sell itself as employee friendly but comes out at the bottom of mediocre as best. Executive management has great ideas and leadership that is completely watered down by incompetent at best, to political sabotage by a middle management layer looking to cash out their stock options. They have no career path for anyone, there is no mentoring, or help in learning how middle management wants things done until one day even with all the positive annual reviews and raises they will discard you as an employee during the annual November layoffs. I’ve personally seen middle management engage in illegal and ill advised harassment of all stripes to be backed by an incompetent HR department. Many of these management offenders are known and HR policies keep them employed while removing any employees that say anything. They continue to struggle with employee churn because of these known issues. It’s not uncommon for employees to only be there for a year or two until they leave for better jobs, or they are forced out by internal politics.
