The executives at DevRev love playing this game of "startup theater." They care far more about looking like a hot AI company than actually building one. Most of the money is the founder’s own, so it's his show with no accountability from investors. Underneath, there’s no real substance or focus on doing what startups at this stage have to do: empathize with customers and solve real problems. The culture is toxic, built on deceit, zero transparency, and immense politics. If you value your craft, stay away. The people who are good at what they do leave. The people who stay are good at navigating egos, appearances, and pretending to add value.
PS: They ask new hires to write a Glassdoor review within 90 days of starting, hence the large number of vague positive reviews. They also frequently have departing employees sign non-disparagement clauses.
