Pros

I’ve been with Desalitech for six years now and watched as the company grew from a small startup to a global leader in the water industry. The journey has been the most exciting part of my professional career and with anything good, it didn’t come easy. It came through the hard work of a dedicated team of highly motivated professionals in conjunction with great leadership. Desalitech has a culture built on getting out of our comfort zone, trying new things, learning through failure and being accountable for executing our individual plans. If we all meet our individual plans, by definition, the company will meet its plan as well. This culture promotes creativity, dialogue between divisions, complete transparency and accountability for our actions. We win together and we lose together, it’s always done as a team.

Cons

Desalitech has aggressive short and long-term goals and not everyone has been able to handle the challenges associated with that growth. Finding the right people to fully embrace the mission and not just fill a seat is critical to our success. If you’re looking for a comfy job where you can just sit back and relax and coast from Monday to Friday, this is not the place for you. If you’re ready to put in the work and embrace the challenges that come with a growing company, you’ll ultimately reap the greatest rewards. To those select few, I encourage you to join the Desalitech family.

Pros

Desalitech is filled with talented and driven team-members committed to helping our water start-up win big. The collaborative culture and drive is real with the leadership team, including the CEO, being very available and relatable. We have a big mission and big goals, it's challenging and rewarding. I left a big corporate job to be a part of something I could really help grow and that makes a difference in the world. So far that's all Desalitech. I’m proud to say that I’m part of a company that is solving the world’s water crisis while helping our clients improve their operations. From a sales perspective, there is a TON of opportunity and untapped territory. I wake up every day owning my region and wanting to grow the business as if I am the CEO of the territory. It takes a balance of having sales grit and an entrepreneurial mindset. Even though we are a smaller company the benefits compare to that of a big corporation- great healthcare, 401K , unlimited PTO, flexible work environment, cool culture, etc.

Cons

Not really a con, just be aware that if coming from outside the water industry there is a bit of learning curve with chemistry, language and system knowledge. It just takes a little time. Also, because this is a start up, get ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute outside of your job description and maybe not have all the resources you got too used to. . <--That is exciting for me, but if it's not for you, Desalitech probably isn't the right fit.
