The leadership team appears to have personal ties to the founder, Jose, which may impact workplace dynamics. Additionally, it seems that the limited number of long-term employees often have close connections with the founder, potentially influencing hiring decisions for leadership roles and restricting opportunities for people of color. For instance, the organization hired a white Executive Director despite staff concerns; this individual had limited experience in narrative change and left after a few months. Similarly, the Vice President and Communications Director positions were filled or promoted from within by known associates and friends of the founder.
