      Pros

      Very friendly CTO, he's there all the time. You get the chance to do all sort of things and get your hands dirty.

      Cons

      Keep changing office is a bit annoying.

      Thanks for your kind words. We now have our own offices in North York. Early on we did not have the funds to pay for office space and pay for tools, expenses etc.

      CTO is a friendly person.

      If this company offers you job as a contractor, be very careful. There is a good chance that you are not going to get paid. And they will back out of the agreement because you worked as a contractor. The standard employee protection laws do not apply to this kind. And the company will use different kind of loopholes in the law to not pay your salary. After reading the review, if you are still interested into working for this company, get all your agreements in written form and get them reviewed by a lawyer. Don't trust any oral promise, because this doesn't hold in the legal court. Document carefully everything you have done for the company. Watch your back. CEO is a very narcissistic, manipulative, secretive, selfish person. He is from sales background with little to no product development knowledge. Although he claims to have significant experience working in AI for Nvidia, the truth is he worked as salesperson for Nvidia ARM chips. No one in the founding or core team has any AI background. Having a salesperson with no technical background can only get the company so far. Not to mention, the company is already working in a very crowded space.

      We are sorry Riyad that you feel this way. I know you were told that this was a contract position, that you will have the option to earn stock options and money for work completed. You also did not have any problem eating the company provided free food. You are using glassdoor as a way of extortion. This is not nice nor is this legal. Also, any personal attacks against me or my team are unwarranted. My experience and my contacts are public for anyone to see on LinkedIn and I suggest anyone interested to take a look and talk to my peers about my charactor and experience.

      you should pay your employees. "stocks" dont cut it

      As a startup, we do not have the money to pay at times. At deepPiXEL we are funded by our clients and when those projects funds run out we have no choice. We offer stocks as a way to compensate employees. We understand that stocks alone are not enough. We are very transparent with people who join our team what we can and cannot provide.
